In India there is only one mobile broadband that has unlimited data transfer plan and that is provided by Bsnl which is called Bsnl evdo connection which gives you a speed of upto 2.4mbps and only costs Rs650 per month for unlimited usage unlike reliance data card and tata photon+

Data cards are available from a lot of different companies but the only one which is available all across the nation is Bsnl evdo.

Data card

There was no wireless internet service provider in India untill a few years ago and then there was a sudden flood of wireless internet service providers. The big players are airtel, reliance, tata indicom and bsnl has also joined the march. These isps provide wireless internet connections using a data card with different technologies like CDMA, WLL, GSM and some of them provide a usb plug in modem like tata indicom and reliance netconnect do.
Data cards come handy when you are travelling on a train or even on a highway and need to stay connected on the go. I have used almost all of them and have now settled with reliance data card which I have found to be more reliable and faster then the other data cards available in the India market.
Bsnl has just launched data cards with EVDO technology which is capable of connections with speed more then 2Mbps and is already available in some parts of UP and a few other states across India although BSNL has still not increased the prices for the EVDO data cards.

More then two weeks now and still going steady.. speed is still pretty good and doesnt go below 10KB/sec which is great for a wireless connection in India.
Full marks for reliance data card. :)

Reliance data card

I have been using this reliance data card for the last one week or so and I am now sure that I made the right decision.
The speeds I normally get with this data card is between 10 to 15kB/sec which is not bad for a wireless connection and beats A and V data cards hands on. The cost isint bad either as I didn't have to pay for the data card and just paid 12 months rental in advance and got the data card free of cost.
I have tried using this data card away from the city as well and it worked equally well in the middle of no where. I paid Rs9000 something for the complete year and don't have to worry about making monthly payments which is also a plus considering the hassle it is to pay bills in India as one has to go down to the shop to pay them with no option of doing it over the phone in most cases, don't know about reliance if they take payments over the phone or with direct debit.
I am now looking forward to the new bsnl data card which is supposed to have speeds in excess of 2mbps and will be launched sometime next year.

Reliance data card

I am starting this blog to write a very extensive review on the reliance wireless data ard which I am going to buy very soon and I would love to write about the whole experience starting from the day when I dont actually own one. So here I am ... I dont have a reliance data card and I have never used one either and would like to share what I have heard and read about the reliance data card.. As far as what I have heard about this data card the reception quality is supposed to be better then all other companies like airtel data card and hutch which is now vodafone and the tata indicom data card and tataindicom plug2surf thing is no match to the reliance data card speed and reliability as far as what I have heard till date. I have read a few bad reviews about reliance data card on sites like mouthshut but then I hope you all know that if something goes wrong you tend to tell the whole world and if something is going ok you dont ever think about it or talk about it so that explains the very few complaints I have ever read.

I will probbably buy a new reliance data card some time next month and till then will keep you updated about the latest happenings and rate they offer from time to time and you can also read about the price plans reliance broadband and data card has to offer to thier new and old clients.
